Honors Symphony
The Honors Symphony is an advanced level orchestra comprised of students with three or more years experience. Students wishing to audition for Honors should be able to perform music of similar caliber to the list below. Please speak with your teacher for audition help.
SCALES
ALL - C/G/D/A/F/Bb/Eb major 2 octaves
Violin - G melodic minor 2 octaves
Viola/Cello - C melodic minor 2 octaves
Bass - E melodic minor 2 octaves
Students should be confident readers and shifters in the range listed above, and have basic understanding of vibrato. Cellos are encouraged to know basics of tenor clef.

SOLOS
Etudes or Solos w/shifting and grade 3+ level skills/technique.
Concerto excerpts, Region Orchestra Excerpts, or Suzuki bk 4+ literature.
Honors will be working on grade 3+ level orchestra music.
